You could not fail a single exam, either written or practical. If you did you were dismissed from class and sent to the fleet.

When estimates of mental illness in the general population range from 25% to 33% and serious mental illness at 16%, the 20% figure is not alarming. What is alarming to me, is that 25% to 33% are called mentally ill. And I have huge problems with all the ADHD diagnoses.
the rate of serious mental illness is over 40% in the general population for adolescents. So if you believe these diagnoses, then the military is doing a pretty good job weeding out the mentally ill.

Remember back when the Army’s slogan was “Be All That You Can Be”? Then the Pentagon changed it to “An Army of One”. Was this done to attract all those disaffected, antisocial, psychotic loners with intermittent explosive disorder, characterized by uncontrolled attacks of anger, whose life would be better if only they had access to a gun with a high capacity magazine.

That is too many for our soldiers families to be dealing with.

That is not a good number
If we scale back the amount of troops the numbers could be met
Smarter troops controlling technology is the future. Why not start transitioning now?
It’s also nice to remember that a majority of people with mental illnesses are outside the US or controlled at any given time..
The amount hurt by ObamaCare will only continue to increase
Once the elderly start needing costly treatments that the young aren’t paying for they definitely will
Our country is not yet ready for that to happen.
