Do Vitamins Really Do Any Good?
This is from The Dallas Morning News:
For every study that turns up disconcerting vitamin side effects, there seem to be two more that conclude that we simply don’t know enough yet about supplements to make evidence-based recommendations. Until we do, we should stop treating supplements like health candy and more like prescription meds, to be used only when there’s a demonstrated need.
We’ve previously reported on 6 studies that found that vitamins do not prevent cancer, 5 things you should know about vitamins and — to be fair and balanced — the case for taking vitamins.
The case for taking vitamins is getting weaker and weaker.
Agree Bruce. But people are going to keep taking them anyway. Doing nothing is not an acceptable option.
Have you guys ever considered there could be a placebo effect from taking vitamins?
