“So, to AARP, reducing Medicare spending is only acceptable when AARP benefits financially, regardless of how it impacts America’s seniors.”

-isnt that the case with most special interest groups?

That woman will cast a spell for you for only 5 dollars. She must be subsidized.

    @ Kyle,

When I was in New Orleans, you could buy Voodoo dolls in souvenir shops on Bourbon Street for $4 apiece or 3 dolls for $10! I haven’t checked the Web but I bet they’re for sale online as well. This might be a better deal that buying a hex on eBay or paying a charlatan $5 to cast a spell.

Whenever I get an ache or pain that coincides with my girlfriend being angry with me, I always check to make sure she hasn’t been using my collection of Voodoo doll souvenirs.

  5. Lewis says:

AARP’s lobbying efforts helped to pass ACA with large in Medicare cuts. Specifically… “funding for MA plans will be slashed by $206 billion from 2010 to 2019, representing roughly 40% of all Medicare cuts contained in the health law”

The cuts in Medicare Advantage plans will push Medicare recipients towards additional coverage like Medigap. And “AARP retains 4.95% of seniors’ premiums for every Medigap policy sold”

This is just one example of special interests using government to help themselves and hurt us.

The first link is just more evidence that markets work.

Can you sale your life online? This is probably one of the most bizarre auctions I’ve ever seen on eBay. Weird..
