If these devices are safe enough for Europe, they are surely safe enough for Americans.
Safety is a compromise. Europe has a higher chance of approving an unsafe drug or device; the United States has a higher chance of people dying who would otherwise have received treatment. In the end, I would rather have the choice of using a potentially unsafe drug or product. I think we will see more Americans going overseas for these treatments.
