Small quibble- if he was putting in stents (a catheter based procedure) he is more likely a cardiologist than a heart surgeon.
The doctor may have performed more than 500 unnecessary surgeries. He told one patient she had a 90% blockage when in fact it was actually 10%. I would think he could be charged with assault.
