Interesting pairing. The last post suggests patients should carefully shop before buying. The penultimate post suggests they are not doing that.

The problem starts with the doctors. They should be telling their patients about differences in hospital mortality rates. In fact I think I saw an earlier post here arguing that they were ethically obligated to pass along such information.
