“Jon Stewart to Kathleen Sebelius: “I’m going to attempt to download every movie ever made, and you’re going to try to sign up for ObamaCare, and we’ll see which happens first.””
I’m sure it’ll get better, but it will always have problems. Did Medicaid/Medicare and SS start out smooth?
“If I’m an individual that doesn’t want this, it would be hard for me to look at a big business getting a waiver,” Stewart said. “I would feel like you are favoring big business because they lobbied you … but you’re not allowing individuals that same courtesy.”
”We believe the government would continue to pay interest and principal on its debt even in the event that the debt limit is not raised, leaving its creditworthiness intact,”
“President Obama has said that, unless Congress acts to raise the $16.7 trillion limit by next Thursday, the nation will be at risk of default.
Not so, Moody’s says in the memo dated Oct. 7.”

Glad to hear this:
“If I’m an individual that doesn’t want this, it would be hard for me to look at a big business getting a waiver,” Stewart said. “I would feel like you are favoring big business because they lobbied you … but you’re not allowing individuals that same courtesy.”
Stewart can be pretty good some times.
My thoughts exactly
”We believe the government would continue to pay interest and principal on its debt even in the event that the debt limit is not raised, leaving its creditworthiness intact,”
This is a big relief…
How does the President not know this?
“President Obama has said that, unless Congress acts to raise the $16.7 trillion limit by next Thursday, the nation will be at risk of default.
Not so, Moody’s says in the memo dated Oct. 7.”
He’s obviously being dishonest.
I guess he’s trying to make the situation sound worse than it actually is in order to make the republicans look bad.
probably.
“If I’m an individual that doesn’t want this, it would be hard for me to look at a big business getting a waiver,” Stewart said. “I would feel like you are favoring big business because they lobbied you … but you’re not allowing individuals that same courtesy.”
This. Exactly, this a million times.
“Am I a stupid man?”
What every citizen should be asking congress, because sometimes it feels like they sure think that way.
“The secret to a happy marriage: a gene.”
Is there no choice anymore? I get that your genetic makeup determines a lot of how you initially react, but to discount choice is fatalistic.
It’s striking in this clip how much Sebelius waves her hands and arms around.
It’s almost as though she feels she can still stir things up so much no one can tell what is really happening.
We see you, Kathleen.
