    I wonder what the Samuels firm would have charged to do G.E.’s taxes.

    What doesn’t get talked about enough is that our high corporate rate puts us at a disadvantage to many nations.

    In a kidney transplant, everybody gets paid except the donor.

    I’ve also observed that. What’s more, the very people who oppose compensating the donor’s family for organs are the ones who collect and sell donated organs.

    Middle- to upper-income Americans eat the most fast food, rather than low-income populations.

    I don’t know where the myth came from that low-income households eat a lot of fast food. Fast food is actually rather expensive. Low-income families are more likely to take advantage of food stamps and cook at home.
