Taxpayers to Spend $200 Million a Day on President’s Trip to Mumbai, and Other Links
The US will spend $200 million a day on President Barack Obama’s visit to Mumbai. Who says there is a recession?
Dead person elected in California. Think about it: how much harm can she do?
David Friedman says divided government is good.

The $200 million claim was made by a single anonymous source in India. It seems unlikely as that is about what we spend for the whole war effort per day in Afghanistan. Since they never release the cost of presidential trips, Secret Service wants their efforts kept secret, it makes for a great rumor.

Great sign.
I like the idea of electing dead people. As you sy, what harm can they do?
If Caifornia residents would elect more dead people the states might be in better economic shape.
Here’s a follow up story on the cost of the India trip. Whatever the real cost, it’s apparently humongous.

The $200 million figure does seem high. Perhaps they are factoring in the inflation from the Fed’s quantitative easing actions yesterday.
David Friedman is probably right.
That is a great sign.
