Skim milk, lower bood pressure? I don’t believe it. Probably another bad study.

Why do birth control pill takers need nudging? Don’t they come with a date and day of the week labeled for each pill? How could anyone possibly get confused?

  3. Virginia says:

They come labeled, but consider this: most women take their pill before bed since it makes most them a little sick at their stomach.

How many nights a week do you go to bed at the same time? You might have a steady schedule, but a 20-something that goes to bed at 11 during the week might be out with her friends on the weekend. So she’s effectively taking something that makes her feel sick during the hours that she’s hanging out with her buddies.

Or, the case of a young mother, it’s really easy to forget to take the pill when there’s a screaming baby that doesn’t care what time it is.

That being said, I was a little shocked that most people missed up to 5 pills each cycle. That to me suggests that they’re not too serious about avoiding pregnancy.
