Most Humorous Headline of the Day
WASHINGTON — The March 1 deadline for employers to notify workers about health insurance exchanges available under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is being pushed back, the government said this week. MedPage Today.
Since only two states actually have an exchange and three more at most will likely have one on schedule, how could employers possible know what to advise their workers?
Second most humorous headline of the day:
Open enrollment starts Oct. 1, less than 10 months away. The Associated Press/Washington Post.
It’s a joke.
Wow, it’s almost as if the Affordable Care Act was rushed through the house and senate.
I’m not sure which joke is worse – the ‘Affordable’ part or the ‘Care’ part.
This is not the first time the government is late on a due date. If the government was a student, he would be getting a failing grade on the assignment.
It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. Seems like some things weren’t responsibly thought-out in this bill.
As a student, as I am sure you might probably feel as a head of household or parent, I would really love to see the federal government held to the same standards as are expected of me in school and in the corporate workplace! If I am late on my cable and light bill, my services will get off. I don’t go borrow more money than I need then add a maid service. If I miss the deadline for a paper, I fail.
Shouldn’t we expect the government to act as we do on a daily basis?
