Just How Reliable is Wikipedia?

Who would trust a user generated site like Wikipedia? The answer to this question, is doctors. According to a report in April by US healthcare consultancy Manhattan Research, fifty percent of U.S. doctors turn to Wikipedia for medical information.
When I first began researching health information on the Internet, numerous public health experts (mainly physicians) worried that patients would rely on biased or inaccurate medical information found on the Internet. Upon closer inspection, doctors were mainly worried patients would come to office visits armed with print outs from medical web sites and time-consuming questions.
Actually, this result is kind of scary.
