Is Six Months of Your Life Worth $22,000?
Not if you're British. Not if you get your health care from the British National Health Service. NICE is the British health board that Tom Daschle urges the Obama administration to copy in reforming the American health care system. It rules on everything from who should get a PAP smear to what drugs should available for breast cancer patients. It keeps health costs down.
This is getting scary. But I’m afraid no one is paying attention.
Hey, Ken. I’m paying attention. It’s time for a real tea party.
Remember, the only place where the Obama philosophy about how to organize the health care system is spelled out is in Daschle’s book
Nobody else is talking about this. Thank God for the John Goodman health blog. We need this kind of information.

Except it’s not true and is more right wing bullshit flying around about the NHS.
One of my best friends works in the NHS and they are really pissed at all this nonsense that’s being talked about. It’s a distortion of the facts.
Out of interest, do Insurance companies put ceilings on how much they will pay out?
