How to Get Cheap Lipitor Tomorrow

Jason Shafrin says there are two easy ways:

  • Buy the generic form of Lipitor
  • Buy Lipitor

He adds:  “According to Marketplace, on Friday Lipitor will go off patent. On Thursday, the Indian drug company Ranbaxy will launch its generic at a low price. Pfizer will also lower the price of Lipitor to the generic levels.” He also takes a swipe at “pay-for-delay” and provides this link.

But why wait until tomorrow? I’ve been using generic Lipitor for several months. Can readers tell me how this is possible?

So how were you able to jump the gun?

  2. Devon Herrick says:

Ordinarily, once a popular name brand drug becomes available in generic form, drug stores go out of their way to advertise the newly available (lower-priced) generic drug. Lipitor was so lucrative, many drug stores are taking a wait and see attitude towards publicizing generic Lipitor hoping to retain sales of the more profitable branded medication. Lipitor was never very expensive as brand-name drugs go. However, it remains to be seen whether or not this strategy works.

Let me guess. You order it from Canada? Great Britain?

  4. Alex says:

Surely there have been other prescription drugs of comparable lucrativeness? Why has this phenomenon not been observed before?

  5. Brian says:

I don’t use Lipitor, but usually in the past when I’ve gone to the pharmacist to get something, they are nice enough to recommend to me the generic without me having to ask.

Lipitor offers Co-pay card! Just google for it or look on their web site.

Great question. In order to anewsr your question accurately, we would need to know which carrier you are with. According to Express Scripts, there is not much of a cost difference between the generic version of Lipitor and the brand name Lipitor. Express Scripts calls this an in-house generic . If this was the case in your situation, you should have been charged only your generic co-pay amount. We would suggest checking to make sure you were charged your generic co-pay amount and if not, you may want to inquire further. Thank you for question.

Prevention is the key to staying heatlhy! Many people wait until to problem is so advanced and debilitating before they do anything about it. Unfortunately, most don’t realize that many diseases and problems can be prevented. The Sacramento area is lucky to have a chiropractor like you promoting and teaching heatlhy living!
