Study: healthier living could prevent a third of the most common cancers in rich countries. One in four, in poorer ones.
Judge: Husband can’t have kidney back from ex-wife. Doesn’t get money for it in divorce settlement either. But why not? It’s an asset. It’s been comingled. Doesn’t that make it community property?
Study: to reduce, count calories. The diets don’t matter.
Oligopoly: Eight health plans cover 58% of the population. And membership is growing.
On the kidney, I would say it is community property. Perhaps the judge should make a Solomonic decision and divide it down the middle.
Interesting result on oligopoly. One more reason to have national competition, across state lines.
I think there is a better solution on the kidney. Cleary a prenupt should cover organ transfers, maybe listing the monetary values in case the union dissolves.
