Personally, I’m not surprised that so many young people think that insurance is too expensive and have little knowledge about cost supports. That’s because it’s not a product that they are really interested in…because they don’t NEED it. Young, healthy people are spending their time and money on products they actually want.
Now, thanks to ObamaCare, we have to buy this product or pay a fine (or tax, according to John Roberts). By the way, this is still an unconstitutional law, and the only way it could be sold to the public was by calling it a fine and then having the aforementioned Mr. Roberts change the wording of the law to allow this monstrosity to be imposed on America.

The first statement is directly related to the second statement. Part of the reason young adults do not believe they can afford health insurance is because they do not place value on it. They don’t place value on it because they don’t have health issues.
Young people can afford many luxuries when they want to. This is true whether or not it’s a nice car, a nice house or nice clothing. Everyone has one an indulgence or one luxury they choose to afford. The problem is: people who used to get coverage cheaply or didn’t bother with coverage are now being required to buy something costly they didn’t bargain for.
Where they would have been more receptive to being covered when it was cheaper or part of a benefits package, now that the cost is taking up disposable income that is used on higher valued goods, it becomes a problem.
No, dog people value a dog’s loyalty more than they dislike their dog’s dependency. Cat people value their cat’s independent nature, while understanding their cat shows affection in ways more subtle than a dog.
As a part of Michelle Obama’s let’s move campaign, they removed the engine and floors of the buses in favor or having everyone walk the bus to and from school.

There definitely is something to be said about the mental aspects of an activity. Those who excel are likely very confident in their abilities and are winners mentally.
