Best Health Care System in the World: Where Asians in Utah Get Their Care

Using the same methodology used by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Commonwealth Foundation and just about everyone on the political left, we rank the doctors of Asian Utahans number one. Health outcomes in Utah generally are as good or better than in other developed countries and within Utah, Asians top out:

Just 7 percent of Asians are obese, compared with 21 percent of all Utahans. They are far less likely… to die of heart disease, stroke or cancer than the rest of Utah… And, on average, they live to be nearly 83 — four years longer than the rest of the state. [link]

Very good. Do you suppose the WHO will take note?

  2. Bret says:

I can just see Obama’s next speech:

Our country spends twice as much as doctors spend on Asians in Utah and get much worse results. We need to copy what those Utah doctors are doing. We should be ashamed that they are outperforming us.

  3. Tom H. says:

Too bad you have to have a satire alert. I suppose the health policy community is so humorless, that they need these kinds of cues.

  4. Dan Smith says:

How much will it cost me to pay those Asians to move to my area so my QI numbers will improve? All these obese midwesterners are bringing my numbers down!
