This reminds me of the great depression where the government would pay farmers for their cow and then shoot the cow and leave it to rot so that meat and dairy prices would go up. Absurdity.
I think most people don’t know why he shut down the government, they just think that he is a big meany. It will be interesting to see if the failure of ObamaCare vindicates his actions.

I had a professor in grad school who told stories from WWII. The Army required some type of recommendation from the local medical society for doctors drafted into the military. Supposedly, there are documented cases of doctors who were prevented from working as military physicians because they offended their colleges back home by undercutting the price of other physicians.
