Health IT is no different then a paper based system, has paperwork ever been lost? Of course. There are things that IT will make easier (managing large amounts of data for one), but it is not and will not ever be perfect – NO system can be. One reason why you won’t see data about paperwork errors – it is a lot harder to collect and analyze the data – another IT benefit. It will never be the panacea Obama seems to think it will be, but it has many benefits.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I never read studies about how old people are getting more and more narcissistic. It’s always young people that are selfish. Old people are always the most generous group in the world.
