  1. JD says:

“Are younger generations becoming increasingly narcissistic.”

Definitely and I would imagine that it is quantifiable.

    • Timmy says:

How is this even measurable to an accurate point? It is rubbish in my opinion and useless data.

      • Baker says:

        Not exactly.

“They say the test on which much of her research is based, the Narcissistic Personality Inventory, is inherently flawed — better designed to measure feelings of confidence and self-worth than actual narcissism.”

        • August says:

“And some critics are even more emphatic: they say the data, if collected and read correctly, simply show no generational difference in narcissism. “We calculated self-esteem scores from 1976 all the way up to 2006 … and we didn’t see much difference at all.””

    • Studebaker says:

Are younger generations becoming increasingly narcissistic?

When I was young we referred to this condition as “spoiled, self absorbed, a feeling of entitlement, immature, unmotivated and lazy.”

Now it’s narcissistic! Isn’t that what we call First World Problems? Only in rich countries can we afford narcissistic children. In third-world countries parents probably beat that condition out of their children in an attempt to keep the children from starving to death from hunger.

  2. JD says:

“Another one-year ObamaCare delay – this one on out-of-pocket maximums.”

    At least they are consistent.

  3. JD says:

“Sebelius on Medicaid expansion: ‘This is not a bait-and-switch.'”

How can she even say that? The whole thing is crumbling around us and she expects us to be believe that that wasn’t the plan all along?

  4. JD says:

“Would evidence-based altruism be bad for art museums?”

It would be bad for crappy art museums.

    • Dewaine says:

With the advent of the internet, traditional museums are becoming a bigger waste. If we decoupled public funding and museums we’d see what people really want.

  5. Saul says:

I think people are increasingly more narcissistic!

  6. Ben says:

Ke$ha is the root of all of these claims about youthful narcissism.

While obviously that is a ridiculous claim, but it is influences like Ke$ha that are influencing a lot of youthful society to act the way they do.
