My New Book Will Be Out Next Week
I’ve written a new book. It’s called Priceless: Curing the Healthcare Crisis, and it promises to give opponents of ObamaCare something they do not now have: an alternative vision for health care.
“Priceless” is a double entendre: your health is priceless, but so is the health care system. In the book, I make two very unusual arguments:
- The biggest mistake we have made in health policy is to believe that the best way to make health care accessible is to make it free at the point of delivery.
- The second biggest mistake is to believe that health insurance premiums should not reflect expected health care costs.
In both cases, we end up harming the very people we are trying to help.
