Being promoted probably doesn’t lead to better health. However, being the type of person who would be promoted probably does.
RE: Mammograms — I’ve learned the hard way that there is a world of difference in the picture quality, thus diagnosis accuracy, of digital versis the old analog mammograms. If you don’t go with a lab that offers the newer equipment, you are wasting your time and risking your health.
In the distant future, there will be big electronic holographic billboards outside hospitals that say something like “care rating”. The rating might be based on number of deaths per year and other outcomes compared to each other to produce a single numerical rating.
