If You Like Your Medicines, You May Not Be Able to Keep Them
Health plans are cheapening their drug formularies — just like they cheapened their networks of doctors. That’s how their paying for the benefits that President Obama promised, everything from free contraception to a leveling of premiums between older (and typically costlier) beneficiaries, and younger consumers.

I’m sick of these pretend cost savings that are actually just a reallocation of costs.

This solves nothing in the grander scheme of things.
Promises. What are they for.
Pretty soon we won’t even have a network of doctors covered.
The poorer get stuck at the end of the line with this system. They’ll get lower-quality medicine just as they receive lower-quality care.
Not entirely sure how successful the free contraception is working on my campus…

What do you mean? Are health plans reducing my access to therapies like leeches, blood letting and eye of newt?
