If-You-Like-the-Plan-You-Have-You-Can-Keep-It Fact of the Day
Nearly half (49%) of firms have already lost their pre-Obamacare coverage, having forfeited “grandfather status” this year. A further 19% will have at least one plan that loses its grandfather status next year.

Grandfather status was always a fiction. The proponents never intended for the existence of health plans not regulated by the ACA. However, by claiming there were provisions allowing grandfather status, some of the political heat was lessened at a time when the debate was very heated. By the time the ACA provisions take effect, I doubt there will be any grandfathered plans left.
Anyone who believed that Obama promise deserves to lose his plan.
