    If your crime is caught on a video cam the jury is likely to be harsher on you.

    Juries face an element of uncertainty when they pass judgment in a case. Juries have to weigh conflicting opinions, eye witnesses, and arguments. A video cam takes much of the uncertainty out of the case. If nothing else, a jury might be harsher on a criminal defendant who had the audacity to lie and waste their time by claiming innocence.

      Right. Although, some of the implications of this study are worrisome. I don’t want someone judging me based on emotion.

    I have no doubt that there are differences, but we really cannot discount the affect of nurture.

      Nurture only goes so far. Nature seems to be reasserting itself as the dominant predictor in outcome.
