The obstacles has to do with more than just the huge volume of knowledge each doctor needs to acquire to better understand cost and benefit of the tests they order. Another problem is the moral hazard of ordering tests or procedures that earn revenue for physician practices.
Addiction to tanning beds: I don’t know why they make so many distinctions between types of addictions. It seems to me that the behavior (be it tanning, working out, eating, or whatnot) is related to underlying issues (compulsion, control, etc) rather than the actual addiction.
Just what I want. A wooly mammoth. But the price is a bit steep.
