  1. Positive thinking is helpful to health?s I gues I have to believe that. To question it, could be harmful to my health. Right?

  2. If home kitchens are more dangerous than restaurants, as I am told they are, why is the FDA focused on restaurants instead of homes?

  3. The findings that 70-year olds are smarter than a generation ago is somewhat counterintuitive. Health status tends to be coordinated with education (and education with intelligence). I would have thought that a generation ago many more of the less educated, less intelligent people in the population would have died from heart disease prior to reaching age 70.

Today medical science can keep people with heart disease alive years longer than in the past so I would have assumed the 70-year old population of today would include more people with less education and possibly lower intelligence than a generation ago.
