On the Japanese patient. If that happened in the United States, there would be headlines in newspapers all over Europe shouting that this is the result of capitalist medicine. But since Japan has national health insurance, how many European newspapers do you think will say this is the result of socialist medicine?
Exactly none.
On the octuplets, in vitro is very expensive. Not the sort of expense that would come easy for an unemployed single mom.
So my question is: who paid for it?
Did you see this morning’s paper? Taxpayers are going to be paying for all those kids.
