  1. Crawford says:

“The situation is most dire for about 11,000 Oregonians who are part of the state’s high-risk insurance pool” (Wozniacka)

Which causes them to be the only people who persevere through the headaches of the enrollment process.

    Death spiral here we come.

  2. Studebaker says:

    NSA spied on the pope.

Finally, our master spy agency is doing something useful! I saw the Tom Hanks movie. There are persistent rumors that the Pope is a member of the Illuminati, a secret society with world domination as its objective.

Certainly it’s more useful to monitor the Pope to make sure he’s not playing footsies with the Illuminati than monitor my email to ascertain my underwear size.

  3. Lucas says:

    “NSA spied on the pope”

Considering the catholic churches track record, I don’t really have a problem with this. It would be the same as spying on Iran or Russia.

    • Connor says:

Jesus Christ, no pun intended, you would think there are better uses of our nations resources than on a minuscule country with no military

    • JD says:

That seems like a stretch, the Catholic Church doesn’t condone the bad things that have happened.

      • Buster says:

Tell that to the residents of Béziers. When the Papal army took the city in 1209, they massacred 20,000 people (including Catholic priests). The town’s sin was tolerating Catharism, a non-Catholic Christian religion.

When the Papal Legate Arnaud-Amaury, Abbot of Citeaux, was asked by a soldier how to tell the Cathars from the Catholics, the soldier was told “Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius.” This can be roughly translated as “kill them all, God will know his own.”

  4. Mark says:

“NSA infiltrates links to Yahoo, Google data centers worldwide, Snowden documents say”

What is the purpose of having all of that info?

  5. Lucas says:

“The National Security Agency has secretly broken into the main communications links that connect Yahoo and Google data centers around the world, according to documents obtained from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden and interviews with knowledgeable officials.”

My country, tis of thee, sweet land of liberty…

This song should now be sang as a low hymn mourning the downfall of our nation. I am disgusted with our government.

  6. Bubba says:

After a month, Oregon’s problem-plagued online health insurance marketplace has failed to enroll a single person.

I was in Oregon a while back. If the exchange is anything like most of the vehicles I saw on the road, it must be engineered with outdated, 10-year old technology that corroding.

  7. Lucy says:

The breadth of the NSA spying is just incredible.
