  1. Perry says:

So much for “hope and change”!

  2. PJ says:

“Tavis Smiley: When the Obama administration is over, black people will have lost ground in every single leading economic indicator category.”

I’m glad to see this headline, and I hope more and more people will start taking notice of it.

    • Rutledge says:

“So why would this community re-elect someone doing so much damage to them economically?”

Very good question. Maybe they assumed the opposite outcome?

  3. CBrady says:

    No kidding, Perry…

  4. Studebaker says:

The feds will spend just about $10,000 subsidizing health insurance costs for a poor, middle-aged man who lives in Georgia ― and just $3,000 buying the same guy in nearby Tennessee a near-identical plan.

This is the type of problem that will lead to problems down the road.

  5. Crawford says:

$110,279… The magic number for “affordable health care”

    • Paige says:

My husband is a salesman and works primarily off commission. He usually earns right around $100k – $125k a year.

Once he hits $110,000 I’m telling him to take the rest of the year off. It’s just not worth it for him to work so hard and the government to “reprimand” him by reaching further into our bank account…

  6. Rutledge says:

“The feds will spend just about $10,000 subsidizing health insurance costs for a poor, middle-aged man who lives in Georgia…”

How do the financial analyst forecast a sustainable bottom line figure? $10,000 for one person- with millions expected to need subsidies?

    • College Student says:

I’m trying to spread the word around my campus for students to opt-out of Obamacare.

Rutledge, this strengthens your point of the ACA not working, but I don’t want to see it work.

Health Savings Accounts put the individual in control of their money and health care spending- a great alternative to the senselessness of the ACA.

      • Jill says:

It’s great to see that you are getting involved and know about HSA’s, “college student”.

The supporters of the ACA should think about moving to a country where there is socialized medicine already in existence. There is no need to shift the Federal Govt into such an overbearing role. As we are seeing today, they can’t even do their job, why should they have an even larger impact in regards to my choices/freedoms/pocket book?

  7. Floccina says:

But life for Blacks in the USA has improved as the black homicide rate has dropped sharply.
