25 Memorable ObamaCare Quotes

The full list. Here are my favorites:

“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down syndrome will have to stand in front of [President Barack] Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.” — Sarah Palin, Aug. 2009.

“If you get sick, America, the Republican health care plan is this: Die quickly.” ― Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) on the floor of the House. Sept. 2009.

“You think you’ve heard these same excuses before, you’re right. When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said, ‘Slow down. It’s too early. Let’s wait. Things aren’t bad enough.'” — Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid urging passage, Dec. 2009.

“We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” — then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi, March 2010.

“It isn’t far-fetched to think that the president of the United States could say, ‘We need to save health care expenses — the federal government will only pay for one baby to be born in the hospital per family or two babies to be born per family. That could happen.'” — then-Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.), March 2012.

“I just see a huge train wreck coming down.” — Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), April 2013.

“This is a big f—— deal.” — Vice President Joe Biden at the bill signing ceremony, March 2010.

How original! Years ago when he ran for president someone on his campaign staff — maybe him — though it would smart to plagiarize classic speeches given by famous dead people and pass off thinly-disguised versions as his own. Joe Biden would be hilarious is he weren’t only a heartbeat away from being president.

  5. Howard says:

I don’t know why, but Pelosi’s comment and especially Biden’s comment are by far my favorites.

  6. Ken says:

    These are great.
