Sticker Shock

If the 33-year-old single father wants the same level of coverage next year as what he has now with the same insurer and the same network of doctors and hospitals, his monthly premium of $233 will more than double.     The process of insurers being forced to provide health plans that meet certain criteria virtually ensures that some of the current beneficiaries will lose the plan they currently have. This is true — if for no other reason — because the current plan may become illegal or no longer have enough subscribers to be profitable.

        Because the President has advisors and information we don’t have. It’s better to trust the expert than believe someone who doesn’t have the full picture.

    The changes people are seeing because of this law are outrageous. Think of all the families who liked their insurance and could afford it, who are now going to see these higher costs.
