Only 27% know where their kidney is. Only 56% can point to their heart.
The black market price for a kidney is $160,000. But the donor gets only $10,000.
60 people committed physician-assisted suicide in Oregon last year. Washington and Montana are following suit.
Drug companies waive copays to help patients. Insurance companies are unhappy.
Kidney price is very interesting. Obviously we need to legalize the market.
How many know wherer their brain is?
I didn’t know we had physician assisted suicide in this country. Interesting.
Agree with Tom. The seller on the black market is getting screwed.
Bret-
Doctor assisted suicide is not legal in USA but it certainly happens everywhere.
It is a shame that it IS illegal. There are many people that are forced to live in misery with no hope of cure or relief. If we have a right to life we also have the right to decide when that life ends. Physician assisted suicide is more efficientless painful, and decreases the “botched” suicide.
Having lived with HIV for over 22 years, I know of HUNDREDS that have been assisted by their physicians when dealing with end-of-life issues. My personal doctor has told me that he would prescribe the medication needed and tell me how best to take that medication to end my life if I so choose. To insist that someone with no hope of cure and in tremendous physical pain, financial pain, emotional pain live with it to soothe our conscience is just plain cruelty.
