Neanderthal Clone is Just Around the Corner
Can we Clone a Neanderthal? And if so should we? See our previous post here. Whether we should or shouldn’t, it appears it’s going to happen anyway:
Newly developed techniques could make cloning Neanderthal cells or body parts a reality within a few years. The ability to use the genes of extinct hominins is going to force the field of paleoanthropology into some unfamiliar ethical territory. There are still technical obstacles, but soon it could be possible to use that long-extinct genome to safely create a healthy, living Neanderthal clone. Should it be done?

Can ‘t you tell how much Neanderthal is in people by looking? Or listening to their political views?
What are we going to do if we clone them, they breed and they colonize. Are they going to have the same rights as humans?

Isn’t the whole idea of climbing to the top of the food chain that you don’t introduce any rivals into your own territory? I suspect that computers are much bigger rivals than neanderthals. But, just imagine trying to claim self-defense when you shoot the ape-like creature digging through your trash.
Perhaps we’ll join with neanderthals to defeat the computers.
I think we are going to see “neanderthal” on the Census form’s racial categories list, before we see “robot.”
