Harvard Business School is Wrong: Leadership is in the Genes

If leaders hope to get the best out of their people, they should foster a positive mood in their teams. There’s a subset of mirror neurons whose job is to detect other people’s smiles and laughter, prompting smiles and laughter in return. Research has found that top-performing leaders elicit laughter from subordinates three times as often, on average, as midperforming leaders do.
The secret to the success of the Harvard Business School is this: They find people who are going to do well in life anyway and get them to come to their school. Ideally, the public will come to believe that the school had something to do with the success of the alums.
Now, all they have to do is require a DNA swab along with a resume when they choose among the applicants.
