What Obama Can Do for Sick People
This is from a Henry Miller editorial:
Bringing a new drug to market now requires on average 12 to 15 years, and costs have skyrocketed to more than $1.2 billionĀ in no small part because the average length of a clinical trial increased 70% between 1999 and 2006. Perhaps the most ominous statistic of all is that drug manufacturers recoup their R&D costs for only one in five approved drugs.
Well, if everyone reads the earlier post by Devon Herrick, you will know part of the reason why Henry Miller’s numbers are so high.
From what I understand, the drug companies (through their employees)gave more money to Obama than they did to McCain.
This gives a whole new meaning to the idea of the capitalists selling the socialists the rope to be used at their own hanging.
