Quote of the Day
Every Republican health-care reform plan in history has served the same purpose: to enable Republican politicians to say that they do indeed have a health-care reform plan, in order to block Democrats from enacting a health-care reform plan.
Until recently, Republicans tended to believe that health care is an issue that only Democrat’s can use to their advantage. Republicans now largely agree that a tax credit would do far more to help moderate-income people than the current system. Tax credits are an issue that Republicans should have championed hears ago.
It seems as if they are going to have a tough time campaigning for it though
They still have to be tax credits that don’t do more harm than good.
“Within hours of the new plan coming into contact with political reality, things began to fall apart.”
Not good at all.
haha its so sad its comical
“Asked about this piece of their plan, the authors changed the language within hours to ratchet back its scope, insulating them from political attacks, but also neutering its value.”
you have got to be kidding me.
They are scared because of the midterm elections
Yeah, this is why I like Mexico’s election system much better
What do they do different?
In this case it could prove better. They do a one cycle term. So once you serve you can never serve again
The latest CBO estimate contained political gold for Republicans: It estimated that the availability of health insurance would spur workers to reduce their labor by the equivalent of two million jobs, a change Republicans could gleefully mischaracterize as “destroying two million jobs.”
Bingo.
This could be the bread and butter that republicans are looking for
Finally the data is released! It’s about time
That’s a far bigger number that I had envisioned
At current minimum wage, it would be around 15 million dollars lost annually per HOUR of a 40 hour workweek.
Dear god.
