    The metabolic “breathalyzer” is fascinating! What a neat way to improve early diagnosis and screening. Imagine the possibilities if this technology could help to improve early detection of cancer.

    If the ratio in the cancer article above is correct, every 1% decrease in mortality corresponds with $500bn in economic gains. More importantly, it corresponds with the number of loved ones who get to spend extra time on this Earth with those who ned them.

    Regarding the first story, the more pressing question is will the flu shots that health care workers get actually work when there is a pandemic?
