  1. JD says:

“Ezra Klein: ObamaCare’s website is really bad”

If even he is saying that, it must be true, but I won’t hold my breath for Krugman.

    • Dewaine says:

Krugman will go to his grave before admitting he was wrong.

      • Rutledge says:

Anyone else think that Obamacare opponents might be putting heavy loads on the website to keep it from working?

        • Dewaine says:

Hmm.. that’s an interesting possibility that I hadn’t thought of. I’m sure that someone, somewhere is doing that, but I don’t think that the load has exceeded expectation.

  2. JD says:

“Sen. Patrick J. Leahy: “There is no evidence that [bulk] phone records collection helped to thwart dozens or even several terrorist plots.””

To be fair, we wouldn’t have known that before hand. It seems logical that it would help, but it shouldn’t have been done anyway. What is quote about freedom and security?

    • Dewaine says:

Right, although, it is a tricky situation. Since we’ve untrusted the government with our security, we want them to do a good job, this naturally infringes on personal liberty and privacy. A better solution may need to act more like a market for security. I don’t know who that would work, but our current system will always violate our rights.

  3. JD says:

“With ObamaCare DSH cutbacks, safety net hospitals are at risk.”

Hmmm… I doubt this is the kind of impact his base wants.

  4. JD says:

“You see, bronze and silver’s only good enough for everyone else in the country. For members of Congress and members of the Senate and their staff, it’s gold or nothing.”

More entitlement mentality. Didn’t we revolt against the idea of a “ruling class”?

    • Dewaine says:

“Regulations issued by the Obama administration this week would require members of Congress to buy one of the top-tier insurance plans from the ObamaCare exchanges.”

So, do they get gold level subsidies or are they paying the full price?

  5. BHS says:

How is Boehner not getting more heat for trying to get subsidies? http://www.politico.com/story/2013/10/john-boehner-hill-obamacare-subsidies-97634.html
