There was a recent audit report out on the VA system, the report exposes that the organization is lacking some major human capital in successfully executing basic it function within the VA network.
It seems that majority of dissatisfaction comes from the fact that they have rushed the implementation of EMR and similar HIT systems. Like anything new, it will take time to adopt to this, and the initial stages are confusing and frustrating for everyone.

The more doctors use EHRs, the less they like them.
I can’t really understand this statement: “The meaningful use incentive program has resulted in more physicians implementing electronic health record systems and using them in advanced ways. Yet doctors’ dissatisfaction with the systems has increased”. If it’s true that physicians’ dissatisfaction is increasing regarding electronic medical records, then why is the number of them using these increasing too? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Hmmm..

You know they tried to pressure Coughlin to keep his mouth shut. It’s not okay when the 2nd largest federal agency has few to no external checks. It seems like the GAO and VAOIG have daily reports on how screwed up the VA is. Congressional testimony yields little improvement as the VA is never compelled to comply with law, federal admin regulations, or even tell the truth. At the risk of moderation, I’ll have to temper metaphoric references to the efficacy of VA congressional committee members and “performance” enhancing supplements that could easily be supplied by the same big pharm system that empowers the VA.
They excel at obfuscation and dissembling. It’s been an organization for profiteering and criminal abuse of federal sourcing laws for the last century. All at the expense of a perpetually marginalized veteran population who are relegated to ineffectual federal health and benefit systems due to political reinforced solidarity.

On the HHS implementation, I guess the Federal Government has never heard of the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution. How is this not a lawsuit yet?
