Economists: the effects of global warming on the economy will either be positive or tiny.
The U.S. has as many as 1,000 privately owned tanks. It also has about 250,000 privately owned machine guns, but don’t tell Diane Feinstein about any of this.

Hah they are actually fairly easy to purchase — it’s just that they’re not street legal. Machine guns only require a Class 3 weapon permit. Suppressors are legal to own, just illegal to equip.
So when Z day happens just make sure you’re south of the Mason-Dixon line.
Never trust polls on Democrats unless they’re organized by Acorn. Like the first election.
Read the numbers. An even larger majority of economists think the effects will be tiny or negative.

Interesting links. 1,000 tanks seems like a lot but really how much is that?
Steve is right, the title of the global warming post is very misleading. The consensus was that there would be a negative effect on the economy.
This is from the report the article you reference cites:

The study also showed economists overwhelmingly favor increasing taxes on energy to decrease carbon emissions, something I doubt NCPA would want to emphasize:

on nuclear power, an idea strongly supported by
economists (63.1% agree, 10.0% disagree). Another
method for discouraging emissions is an

As an avid flyer, I certainly understand why the prices should be about to climb higher. We pay next to nothing for the ability soar unhindered through the clouds – a marvellous feat in and of itself. I have spoken with quite a few stewardesses in my day, and they all complain that they are paid next to nothing for dealing with some of the most difficult customers in the entire economy.

Not even their own party can support their own laws, and they expect everyone else to do so? This goes to show how flawed and inconsistent this reform is.
