Headlines I Wish I Hadn’t Seen
Dr. Conrad Murray, sentenced to four years in prison for helping to kill Michael Jackson, can still get paid by Medicare.
7,000 British operations cancelled while hospital workers go on strike.
World’s Once-Fattest Man Wants Public to Pay for Plastic Surgery to Remove Excess Skin.
I don’t understand why the ability of physicians to bill Medicare is such an entitlement? It seems that Medicare should be able to exclude providers at will. If anything, the threat of being excluded could be sufficient enough threat to make some of the less egregious offenders fly right and the more egregious ones out of the program!

At this point, I would say that the man’s excess skin is a deterrent (if not a prohibition) to exercise. I don’t see how the man could get above a slow walk before the excess skin is flipping and flopping all over the place. Not to mention how the skin folds are more at risk for bacterial infections. Removal of his excess skin would quality as a medical necessity in my book.
How about Photo’s I Wish I’d Never Seen!
