Demark has so many taxes and fees that they should have a minimal effect on anything. The fat tax only has worked on 7 percent to get them to stop using some things that would help them get fatter. However, that might be a much better effect than any of their other many taxes and fees.

I thought this had been repealed already. Overweight people already know they are overweight. People pay large sums for weight loss programs. I suspect that a few extra cents is not going to change behavior where other costs have not.

The last time I was in Denmark, the cost of beer was more than a 6-pack in the U.S. You almost needed to take out a second mortgage to buy dinner in a restaurant. An item of clothing in a shop was more costly than a shopping cart of clothing at a Walmart. I’ve always suspected the Viking conquests were mostly about attempts to flee the high taxes at home.
It makes sense that younger children would have an easier time with the puzzle, because they haven’t learned how to do higher levels of math. How long did it take other people to solve?
That’s the real big hint too. If preschoolers can do it then there can’t be too much math. I got it in about 30 seconds.
It took me about 10 secs. My math skills top out at about 5th grade level, so I immediately gave up on the math. The loops just popped into my eye about 5 secs. later, and it took about 5 more secs. to confirm what I thought I was seeing.

But I thought the whole point was to create affordable coverage for those who can’t otherwise afford it…?

For a second I thought they were going as far as taxing overweight people for being, well, overweight (fat). Hah.

Wow 80 percent of people didn’t change anything about their buying habits? I wonder what the methodology of the study was…because that statistic seems questionable.
I was told that Obamacare would make healthcare cheaper not more expensive. This really disappointing
