  1. Huda says:

@ Can you cure yourself by thinking

Although I do think there are valid case studies where cognitive therapy is effective, but I don’t think that should be the only way to provide care. Indeed, in some cases this could be really dangerous.

  2. Patel says:

    @ Curing by Thinking It

I am skeptical by this kind of thinking. I think something like this can be dangerous. I have issues with Crazy californiains setting our health fashions!

  3. @ Desai says:

    @ Curing by Thinking

The only thing I can say to that is, I am happy being on my meds, fingers off my meds please!!

  4. Sandeep says:

    @ Curing by thinking

I remember reading an article that stated that pharmacy companies are finding it hard to sell new drugs because it seems that giving the patients placebo is garnering the same effect. And so, I do think there is validity to the power of thinking.

  5. Kumar says:

    P4P in Australia

Perhaps there are underlying factors for why behaviors haven’t changed, or perhaps it hasn’t been in effect for long enough for one to recognize any massive change in behavior!

  6. Chandler says:

“Can you cure yourself by just thinking?”

    – I’m going to have to try this.

  7. Ronald says:

“Can you cure yourself by just thinking?”

There is something to say about the power of the mind in SOME cases. However, none of this is close to being substantiated by science yet but it does give room for growth on naturalistic medicine.

  8. Robert says:

“Britain doesn’t prove the Keynesians are right; it proves they are wrong.”

I don’t see real proof on either side. A lot of Economics is manipulated to proof difference in ideology, not in science. This has been a problem for a long time.

  9. Renee says:

“Can you cure yourself by just thinking?”

Yes, I have cured some of my habits by thinking. Oh wait, that’s not what this is really referencing. I don’t know about actually curing illness. It depends if it’s caused by mental behavior.

  10. Chandler says:

“Can you cure yourself by just thinking?”

    – I’m confused how you can make the distinction between healing yourself by thinking, and your body naturally healing itself… If there is pain, you acknowledge it. If you acknowledge it, then your mind is automatically focused on it. This happens EVERYTIME you get an ailment. So, how do you know its your mind, and not some other factor?

  11. Jack says:

I’m all for HSA’s for military and veterans. Could you imagine if we were to completely reduce VA overhead and just establish diagnostic centers and roll all of the other assets into an HSA fund.

  12. Jordan says:

That’ll never happen. There is way too much money in it. Could you imagine all of those poor inefficient federal workers competing in the real world for jobs in the healthcare industry?

Seriously though, why isn’t it ever a retired Sergeant Major who takes over agencies. They wouldn’t put up with any of these shenanigans.

  13. Gabriel Odom says:

“Aetna Inc. and Cigna Corp. have reported that their employer clients who switched to the savings accounts and similar plans saved millions of dollars on their employee health benefit costs while the health of their employees improved. Cigna has gone so far as to say that if the share of Americans enrolled in health savings accounts and similar health care plans rose to 50 percent and achieved the same results as their analysis, the United States could save $350 billion over 10 years and the level of patient care would improve.”

Need I say more? HSAs work folks.
