Obama Is Not Going to Run Against a Republican
He is going to run against the Koch brothers, instead:
Obviously, the campaign is not yet fully fleshed out. How will Obama distinguish himself from the Kochs on important issues like the Iranian missile program, gay marriage, and national education standards? How will he counter the favorability boost that the Kochs are expected to get from the fact that their name sounds like a popular soft drink (and will people get confused when pollsters ask them if they prefer “Coke, or Obama”)? Will he be courting the paleolibertarians whose hatred of the Kochs is second only to that of the Center for American Progress? How will he counter if the Kochs promise to lower gas prices in exchange for the presidency?

Watching the Republican presidential candidate debate each other is just so incredibly boring. Once Republicans select the candidate who will oppose Obama, it will be even more boring.
A more direct form of democracy would involve a wrestling match that pits the Koch brothers tagteam wrestling Ted Turner and George Soros! Now, I’d pay to see that!

The Obama-Biden strategy could aptly be phrased “it’s us versus the evil rich people and their extremist minions”.
Like “neoconservatives,” there is only a very limited supply of actual “paleolibertarians.” Exactly two that I know of: Murray Rothbard and Lew Rockwell. Murray is dead, but Lew’s vote may be up for grabs.
It seems Lew Rockwell would like Paul, but with no Paul in the general election, he might go for Gary Johnson.
And Romney/whoever wins the Republican primary isn’t going to run against Obama. They’ll be running against a radical socialist secret Muslim who apologizes for America, bows to Muslim leaders while stabbing Israel in the back, hates the rich, and is secretly organizing a government takeover of our lives. Oh, and he’s not even a real citizen.
