Some Affordable Care Act provisions that were scheduled to take effect Jan. 1 — such as higher reimbursements for primary care physicians that treat Medicaid beneficiaries and additional federal funding for states that eliminate Medicaid copayments for preventive care — have been delayed as the federal government focuses on meeting the Oct. 1 deadline for the health insurance marketplaces and the Jan. 1, 2014, deadline for the Medicaid expansion. Once you understand these people are not trustworthy, it all makes sense.

  2. Gabriel Odom says:

Aren’t we still waiting on ICD-10? Last time I checked, ICD-10 was supposed to release in October of this year. Now, it’s October of next year.

This reminds me of the old bar sign that said “Free Beer Tomorrow”.

  3. Finneus T. Upstone says:

Deadlines are rarely understood in this day. PO missed the deadline on turning in a budget yesterday. Try pulling that in the private sector! What does this suggest?

“It’s just a boatload of federal money to take and spend on poor people’s healthcare. It doesn’t sound very coercive to me.” Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.

  8. Dr. Steve says:

This makes me think of Lucy yanking the football away as Charlie Brown kicked. And he kept coming back thinking it would be different the next time.
And will someone please tell Justice Kagan it is not the federal government’s money.

  9. H. James Prince says:

“It’s just a boatload of debt that the future taxpayer will will have to pay back. That doesn’t sound to coercive to me. Oh, wait a second.”
