  1. John R. Graham says:

Even a Neanderthal knows better than to poop in the hallway. Were there none available for employment at the EPA?

  2. Jay says:

“EPA employees asked to stop pooping in the hallway.”

I… I have no words for this.

  3. Devon Herrick says:

Maybe 50,000 years from now a team of archeologists will find and excavate the Denver EPA office. If they find the disgruntled EPA staffers’ coprolites (that’s fossilized poop), they will probably attribute it to some strange 21st Century ritual or custom.

    • Bill B. says:

“‘This is truly a broken agency,’ committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said in May.”

Perhaps this will also be carved into the walls.

  4. Buster says:

I have never been so angry with an employer that I chose to illustrate my displeasure by clogging the toilet with paper towels and pooping on a public hallway.

  5. DOF says:

    > Nearsightedness linked to higher education levels.

This seems like something one could guess…spend more time staring at books and screens and your eyes will suffer.

  6. John R. Graham says:

I appreciated the article from Slate about e-mailing the doctor, especially the part about HIPAA concerns. We had another post recently about the increase in HIPAA fines in the last couple of years.

However, I am not quite sure the discussion is moving in the right direction. Telehealth services may be discretely billable but if advocates think that there needs to be a billing code for every e-mail, that is another question entirely.

There are all kinds of businesses that use e-mail for customer services Except for some types of technical support, I can’t think of many that charge you for e-mailing them. It is bundled into the cost of customer service.

The idea that we need a code for every single thing is a sickness of our healthcare system!
