  1. BHS says:

“David Freidman on why the debt limit has no effect on the government’s ability to make Social Security payments.”

Too bad it’s a lot easier just to use scare tactics than explain how that works.

  2. Jill says:

    Can knees predict the weather?

“Take a pain reliever or anti-inflammatory in advance if a storm or cold weather is forecast.”

Do we really need to be advocating this?

  3. JD says:

“Mosquito found with 46 million year old blood; but alas, animal DNA (unlike the premise of Jurassic Park) can’t survive inside fossilized insects.”

I feel like I’ve been lied to. What good is it?

  4. JD says:

“Michelle Rhee’s teacher evaluation program actually worked.”

Of course teachers matter, but don’t let this fool you into thinking we need to just throw money at teachers.

  5. Dewaine says:

    “Can knees predict the weather?”

Ummm… yes. Haven’t old people been saying this forever?

  6. Lucas says:

The majority of people opposed to teacher evaluations are in fact the teacher unions.

    • Dewaine says:

  7. Buster says:

    Can knees predict the weather?

That’s an old wives’ tale. Whenever the pressure changes, people with injuries or arthritis experience pain. You could get better predictive power by watching a barometer. If the barometric pressure is falling, expect bad weather and pain!
