  1. PJ says:

“Michael Krigsman, CEO of IT consultancy Asuret Inc., who looked at several state exchanges, said people expecting an easy shopping experience won’t get them.”

Isn’t that the case with this whole law, not just the technical issues? People are expecting Obamacare to be all rainbows and lollipops, and they’re going to start seeing that it’s not at all what it was cracked up to be.

    • Dewaine says:

The technical issues are definitely a problem, but the opposition needs to focus on why ObamaCare is paid as a policy, not why it isn’t being done effectively enough.

  2. Perry says:

I just don’t see how anyone would think the government could handle this, it’s a typical bureaucratic nightmare.

    • Dewaine says:

The losses due to government inefficiencies will be significant, but there will be much bigger losses simply due to perverse incentives.

  3. JD says:

“Why are the ObamaCare website pages so cluttered and complicated? Regulation.”

Why is life so complicated and so frustratingly inefficient? Regulation.

  4. Dewaine says:

“Social media is being used to detect insurance fraud.”

Good. That has to be low-cost, meaning that the scrupulous insurance users don’t have to shoulder the burden of fraud and fraud detection.

  5. Dewaine says:

“Washington Monument Syndrome: ”At budget time, the Park Service frequently threatens to curtail visiting hours at its most popular attractions, such as the Washington Monument, if its budget request is not met, and it threatens to blame Congress and the budget process when tourists complain.””

Making it look worse than it is. Government constantly lies to keep its funding bloated.
