  1. Vicki says:

Sorry to see that vitamins aren’t working.

  2. Buster says:

There is disagreement on whether vitamins, antioxidants, macro minerals and micro minerals improve health. Whether or not you believe these work, the best course of action for people wanting to be healthy in old age is to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I suspect people who care enough about their health to take these supplements are probably also the type to exercise and maintain a healthy diet.

Regarding the first article, I have not read the study, but I strongly dispute its findings. I’m not a scientist and far from that, but I feel like there are just too many people that have experienced healthier living to dispute the benefit stemming from using AO/Vit/Supp.

Of course, another important thing to keep in mind is that people have different body chemistry, genetic characteristics, blood types, etc. and therefore will need to use a different combination of AO/Vit/Supp to receive the maximum benefit or any benefit at all.

A lot of people are not going to benefit from antioxidant/vitamin/supplement use because a lot of people are so unhealthy to begin with or just don’t absorb the AO/Vit/Supp very well. What needs to be studied more are the causes of poor absorption and what needs to be considered more is a holistic view of one’s health and how AO/Vit/Supp can play a role in improving it.

Now I just sound like a Whole Foods hippy.

  4. Davie says:

While Mack Brown’s salary is very high, his value to the university far exceeds it. He’s very much “worth it.”

The Longhorn Network, established by ESPN, pays Texas $30 million yearly over a 10-year period. This figure ignores the billions in revenue obtained by selling merchandise, tickets and everything else.

Mack Brown isn’t responsible for all of those things. However, the consistent success of Longhorn football is, and he’s as responsible for that as anyone.

  5. Tom H. says:

College athletics is real exploitation. You wonder why liberals never complain about it.
